Your Right to Deletion

Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. PixPlat respects this right and provides clear processes for data deletion.

How to Delete Your Account and Data

Method 1: Self-Service (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your PixPlat account
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  3. Review what data will be deleted
  4. Confirm deletion by entering your password
  5. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

⏱️ Your account will be deleted immediately. Some data may be retained for up to 30 days for backup purposes, then permanently erased.

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account or signed in with Google OAuth, send a deletion request to:

Include in your email:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Your full name
  • Account creation method (Email or Google OAuth)
  • Any additional verification information we may request

⏱️ We will respond within 30 days and complete deletion within 90 days.

What Gets Deleted

Immediately Deleted:

  • Your account credentials (email, password hash)
  • Profile information (name, company, phone)
  • Menu content (dishes, images, descriptions, prices)
  • Custom templates and designs
  • QR codes and menu links
  • Customer feedback and analytics data
  • Preferences and settings
  • Communication history (support tickets, messages)

Retained for Legal/Security Reasons:

Some data may be retained for limited periods:

  • Transaction records: Billing history, invoices (7 years for tax compliance)
  • Fraud prevention: IP addresses, device fingerprints (90 days)
  • Legal holds: Data subject to legal disputes or investigations
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics

This data cannot be linked back to you and is retained only for legal compliance and security.

Google OAuth Account Deletion

If you signed up using "Continue with Google":

Step 1: Delete from PixPlat

Follow the deletion methods above to remove your PixPlat account.

Step 2: Revoke Google Access

To completely remove PixPlat's access to your Google account:

  1. Visit Google Account Permissions
  2. Find "PixPlat" in the list of connected apps
  3. Click "Remove Access"
  4. Confirm removal

This revokes PixPlat's OAuth access to your Google profile information.

Data Export Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, we recommend exporting your data:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Data
  3. Select data to export (menus, images, analytics)
  4. Click "Generate Export"
  5. Download your data archive (ZIP file)

You have 30 days after account deletion to request a data export. After that, data is permanently erased.

Important Considerations

⚠️ Account Deletion is Permanent

Once deleted, your account and menus cannot be recovered. Your QR codes will stop working immediately.

💳 Active Subscriptions

Cancel your subscription before deleting your account. No refunds for remaining subscription time.

📊 Published Menus

All published menus and QR codes will become inaccessible immediately upon deletion. Update printed QR codes beforehand.

Verification Process

To protect your account from unauthorized deletion, we may verify your identity by:

  • Requiring password authentication
  • Sending confirmation email to registered address
  • Asking security questions
  • Requesting photo ID (for high-value accounts)
